As time went by I was getting nervous. I knew my 120 credits was just around the corner and it couldn't have come at more than a perfect time. I knew once I had applied for the Disney College Program that it would turn my whole life around. It would be the point that would give me courage that I was able to succeed and make it to Florida once I graduate. Of course, I knew that there was a fifty/fifty chance that I could actually make it or not. I always feared that once I put in my application they would reject me immediately because it was something that I really wanted and the thought of not getting it definitely crushed me.
One day, while working at my retail job my friend told me he applied for the Disney College Program. I was immediately in shock, because I had realized that you were able to apply. He told me to go for it, but I had to make sure that my credits were up. When I found out they were, I immediately jumped on it with the support of my school, professors, friends, family, and boyfriend cheering me on. I logged on to that website and it felt so surreal. I couldn't believe that the time had come already! I filled out my information and waited for what seemed like forever, but was only a mere couple of hours. Before I knew it, I had an e-mail telling me that I had to take a Web Based Interview.
I was panicked, because I knew from my friend that as soon as you finish the Web Based Interview, you get a notification right away telling you if you were a strong candidate or not. I knew this would make me or break me so I went into a room, turned off everything and sat in silence as I took the interview. The interview was timed on some portions! Which made me a bit nervous, but I just reminded myself to read the question and answer truthfully. The interview lasted for about 40 minutes. When I was at the last question, I hit submit and almost feared for my life to look at the result. Once I gained the courage, I took a peek at my screen as saw that I was considered a Strong Candidate! I sprung up from my bed and literally started dancing around the house!
Then I realized that I had to sign up for a Phone Interview! Which I had to schedule a date and time for. The date was February 23rd at 8:00am. It was early, but I wanted to get it done with as soon as possible because the wait which was only a couple of hours for the Web Interview was nerve wrecking enough! Now all I had to do was wait two days for my Phone Interview... that's not hard, right? Right?
